Switch EMERG EXIT LT to ARM position

Turn both batteries OFF then ON
Check ECAM electrical page, must be below 60A and discharging

Click all PUMP's to extinguish the illuminated OFF

Press TEST button, three lights should illuminate

Enter Departure/Arrival, Flight Number, Cost Index, Cruise Altitude

Enter ZFW/ZFWCG and confirm Fuel Planning (this is done by clicking ZFW/ZFWCG twice then clicking FULE PLANNING then BLOCK CONFIRM)

SIDE PANEL * MCDU
Enter take-off Flaps (usually 1), transition altitude (can be found in airport charts), V1, VR, and V2 (click twice on V1, VR, and V2)

Change ND to PLAN mode
Select MCDU F-PLAN
Scroll through the plan to check if correct and no disco's.

In MSFS2020, press B to set local altimeter

FRONT PANEL * AUTO PILOT CONTROL *
Turn the altitude nob to set the initial altitude given to you by ATC (if not using ATC set your cruise altitude)
Push the altitude nob to activate managed mode (represented by a dot next to altitude value)

Hit CLR several times to clear the existing code then dial the code given to you by ATC

Turn transponder nob from STBY to AUTO

Monitor ENGINE 2 N1 until you see AVAIL

BEFORE TAXI

MAP NOT AVAIL should disappear and you should see the vertual horizon and the map.

FRONT PANEL * AUTO BRAKE
Click AUTO BRK MAX (in case of rejected take-off)

SIDE PANEL * SPEED BRAKE
Pull SPEED BRAKE to arm it.

SIDE PANEL * FLAPS
Move if FLAPS take-off. This is usually position 1 unless it is a short runway or you need a steep climb due to terrain.

OVERHEAD PANEL * EXTERNAL LIGHTS *
Move NOSE to TAXI position

OVERHEAD PANEL * EXTERNAL LIGHTS *
Move RWY TURN OFF to ON position

Move STROBE to AUTO position

BEFORE TAKEOFF

Click ALL twice to inform cabin crew of take-off

Move NOSE to T.O position

Move both LAND lights to ON position

SIDE PANEL * TCAS
Turn TCAS nob to TA/RA

Move SYS to 1 position

Move PWS to AUTO position

Click T.O CONFIG
FRONT PANEL * LOWER ECAM
Check take-off notes, make sure no blues and resolve any blue items if any.

Set parking brakes
Advance thrust level until 50% N1
Check stability of engines
Release parking brakes
Advance thrust level to TOGA/FLEX
Push nose forward between 80 KIAS and 100 KIAS
Rotate at Vr
At positive rate: gear UP
At S speed: flaps UP
At 1500 AGL: thrust level to CLB and lower nose to follow flight director.
Engage autopilot.

Click CHRONO to start the clock

AFTER TAKE-OFF

Climb speed: V2 + 10

At 1500 ft LVR CLB will start flashing in PFD. Move THRUST LEVER to CLB position and lower the nose following flight director horizotal line.

FRONT PANEL * AUTOPILOT
Click AP 1 to engage autopilot

SIDE PANEL * SPEED BRAKE
Push SPEED BRAKE to disarm it.

CLIMB

×

FRONT PANEL * PFD
At transition altitude, QNH will start flashing in PFD. Pull the altimeter nob to set altimeter to standard.

DESCENT

×

SIDE PANEL * MCDU
Click NEXT PHASE until you reach APPR
Enter arrival airport QNH, temperature, winds, transition altitude and enter minimums.

×

FRONT PANEL * PFD
At transition altitude, QNH will start flashing in PFD. Push the altimeter nob and tune it to local altimeter (or press B)

APPROACH

25NM: LS ON
15 NM: Flaps 1, LOC ON, APPR ON
Glide Slope: Flaps 2, Gear Down, Flaps 3, Flaps Full
